Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 is the sequel to the three million selling, award winning real-time strategy game Red Alert. Red Alert 2brings players back to the alternate universe of Red Alert with anonslaught of new units, tactics and strategies. As in the original, gamers can choose to lead Soviet or Allied forces. Soviet commanders will invade North America and try to claim it for mother Russia. Allied commanders will fight to push back the invaders and save liberty. Both sides are well armed with conventional weapons and experimental technology. The Soviets can engage in psychic warfare, wield nuclear weapons and fry all they survey with Tesla technology. Allied forces can teleport with chrono technology, conduct covert operations with the help of Gap Generators, and rain down lightning bolts through weather control. Supporting these high powered, advanced weapons are massive conventional forces, including armies, air power and navies.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is a stealth-based, first/third-person shooter, developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. It was the second installment of the Hitman video game series, followed by Hitman: Contracts in 2004, and Hitman: Blood Money in 2006. The game was released first on October 1, 2002 in North America. It was released on PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and the GameCube, the only Hitman installment in the series to be released on a Nintendo console so far.

Gameplay

Silent Assassin addressed many of the criticisms concerning the gameplay of the original game: The control scheme has been streamlined to better mirror that of a standard shooter: an optional first-person perspective was added, and a visual meter was added to give the player the ability to gauge enemies' suspicion level for stealth purposes. While the "suspicion meter" generally reacts appropriately (such as when the player enters a restricted area or draws a weapon in public), there were some sensitivity issues, possibly bug-related, which caused enemies to react adversely to the player for seemingly innocuous actions, such as close proximity. This feature was improved upon in the subsequent games of the series.

Also introduced in the game was the concept of a post-mission ranking system, in which the player is given a status based on how they completed the mission, rated along a stealthy-aggressive axis, between "Mass Murderer", a non-stealthy player who kills everyone, and "Silent Assassin", a stealthy player who manages to complete the level without being noticed and only killing the intended target(s). The game rewards the player for critical thinking and problem solving, encouraging the player not to treat the game as a simple shooter. Achieving Silent Assassin status on multiple missions rewards the player with bonus weapons.

Graphically, Silent Assassin can use either the Direct3D or OpenGL rendering engines.

The tank simulation "WWII Battle Tanks: T-34 vs. Tiger" takes place in Belarus during the Summer of 1943, in which the Soviet Union launched "Operation Bagration", the Belarusian Offensive, against the retreating German Wehrmacht. After Kursk, this was the most significant struggle of the two tank armies and resulted in the complete destruction of the German Army Group Center and the Soviet recapture of all territories within their 1941 borders.

The player can experience the battlefield from within the Russian T-34 and the German "Tiger", with fully animated 3D interiors and playable Driver, Gunner and Commander positions. The tanks' dynamics include realistic physics, accurate ballistics and elaborate damage models. The vast Belarusian landscape of the early 20th century, with its rolling hills, villages and large forests was carefully recreated from historical reference photos and maps. The rich battlefield environment includes AI controlled Russian and German tanks, infantry, armored-personnel-carriers, anti-tank-guns and airplanes.
